ITAC recently secured a small grant from the Evelyn Trust, allowing the WHAG to fund a project officer to develop the Haven project. Since 2022, the WHAG has been looking into the feasibility of providing the Haven – a night-time facility for women who are street homeless, vulnerably housed or in need of a safe space.
The Haven would offer trauma-informed support and enable women to start building up trust in local services. With the support of the Evelyn Trust, the WHAG will be able to begin planning and delivering a pilot programme.
